Fastest CPU ive ever had

Far and away the fastest CPU ive ever had. So many features to make technophiles drool. Too bad it was overshadowed in home use by the sandy bridge-based i7s. Still, loaded up with a dual GTX-460 SLI setup on a good motherboard, there isnt a game in mid 2011 it cant tackle.

Old but good

Ive had mine since release date running at 4GHz on water and it still manages to keep up running with a AMD R9 290 theres nothing it cant run, I also have a 4790K in my other system yeah its faster but this is old and still keeping up :)

Great for VMs

Still using it. The AMD stuff can't beat its virtualization features. I often run a XP or Linux OS in Oracle Virtual Box from Windows 7. I can switch between VMs via the W7 Taskbar, running processes and apps in each OS. I overclocked it and run it on water to max bus rate with 12800 RAM. Never bottlenecks. I'd have to drop $900+ for a 4K CPU + Mobo + DDR4 RAM just to exceed the performance I have here. Great system. Very pleased.
